At 17, Jeff studied photography with Ansel Adams in a Yosemite workshop, then continued his education with Brett Weston in Carmel and Bernard Freemesser at the University of Oregon (1976). In 1980, he moved to the Netherlands to intern and teach photography.
Returning to the U.S., Jeff established a successful career in architectural photography in Los Angeles (20+ yrs), while maintaining his artistic tradition through gallery shows. In the mid-to-late '90s, he taught middle school photography in Topanga Canyon.
Self-taught in Photoshop{PS 3} (1995), Jeff was hired by a large Los Angeles digital studio in 2001, creating museum-quality Giclée prints for artists, designers & museums. He began visiting Port Townsend in 2001 and relocated full-time in 2003, where he continues teaching Photoshop and presenting annual solo exhibitions.
